With the oeuvre of its founders, Maaskant and Van Tijen, Kokon has a great many national monuments in its portfolio. Perhaps the largest number of national monuments in comparison with other architectural practices at the moment. We are part of a 90-year history of the firm. Our first work number was the granular concrete houses by Van Tijen in 1928. In short: we love monuments.

We therefore see restoring them as an important and honourable job. Restoring a building with respect for the techniques and materials of the time as well as possible so that it can stand the test of time again. We are specialised in this and are happy to make our knowledge and expertise available to the rich building history of our country.  Both young and old monuments are in good hands with Kokon.
