Kokon winner of the 2026 Architectural Design Awards

Very proud to share that our Hendrik Baskeweg project has won an award at the Architectural Design Awards New York.

We received no less than three awards:

• Gold – Residential Architecture: Historic Home Restoration
• Silver – Innovative Architecture: 3D Printing and Robotic Manufacturing
• Silver – Conceptual Design: 3D Printed

In Den Helder, an unprecedented renovation project has successfully transformed two monotonous apartment complexes from the 1970s into striking, contemporary buildings. These gallery apartments, comprising 154 units, underwent a spectacular metamorphosis without the residents having to move out. The core of the transformation was the groundbreaking use of 3D concrete printing, which allowed the project team to extend the buildings' lifespan by at least fifty years, increase sustainability, and improve modern comfort and aesthetic enhancement.

A wonderful recognition for the team and for the way we work on innovation within existing architecture.
