Student hotel Ypenburgbocht given the go-ahead

21-01-2020

Our project for the Student Hotel at the Ypenburgbocht in Leiden was given the go-ahead. The design consists of two parts: an L-shaped block and a square block, connected by a central zone enclosed within a glass facade. The building’s mass has a stepped shape, due to the influence of two ‘windmill biotopes’ and the nearby homes.

The target group consists of foreign students, for whom the buildings provides furnished apartments and services such as bicycle sharing, study lounges, fitness and washing facilities.

The zoning plan was submitted, and start of construction is planned later this year.
