The Vlootschouwer completed

In the Municipality of Maassluis, the construction of the apartment complex De Vlootschouwer has been completed. With this, 70 high-quality and affordable social rental apartments of Maasdelta Group for seniors have been completed. Meanwhile, the first keys have been handed over to the happy new tenants.

Alderman Sjoerd Kuiper: "This residential building is aimed at enabling seniors to live independently into old age, close to all amenities. To the new building 63 households will flow through from non senior housing in Maassluis. The flow-through, in turn, will free up housing for families and young people."

An outpatient clinic will also open on the first floor after the summer, from which VAR Franciscus will offer medical care and diagnostics to all residents of Maassluis and the surrounding area. Furthermore, the residential building will be gasless and energy efficient. Green roofs with solar panels have also been implemented.
