The Arsenal
The existing structure of the Arsenaal building was drastically redesigned, to accommodate a hotel, in a reversible and circular way, thus conserving the building.
Within the existing structure a range of hotel rooms was created, that conform to the highest standards. A luxurious hotel in a historic setting is the result of this process.
By raising floor levels, an extra layer was created to accommodate all technical installations. Reuse of existing stairs and elevators required only minimal changes to this beautiful national heritage site (Rijksmonument).
