Plaslaanflat

The Plaslaanflat (1938) in Kralingen, Rotterdam, is roughly based on the same principles as the Bergpolderflat, but for people with higher income, and has some improvements.

The building is built as a concrete structure with concrete floors, resulting in less noisy apartments, 4 per layer and glass facades for ample daylight and view. This building also has collective conveniences, storage space, laundry and drying spaces, and modern conveniences like central heating, a central antenna system and house telephone.

Originally designed to be built with 13 floors, eventually the building was completed with 10 floors.
