Tetris

The architectural competition for housing at the Amnesty Internationallaan in Hellevoetsluis, won by Kokon, concerns renovation as well as new building.

The original apartment flats were remodeled with, among others, new facades. The garage boxes underneath the building were remodeled into small appartments for singles. The plan contains rental apartments as wel as commercial housing.

The larger en smaller apartments were designed in a mingled structure, which characterises the building, and thus giving it the nickname Tetris, like the computer game. The building contains some apartments for people with a slight disability.
