LAB-03 Traveltainer

The traveltainer is a study project that we set up to examine the nomadic lifestyle with containers by means of feasibility and possibilities. People who embrace this living concept can live anywhere on earth and have their own living unit traveling with them all across the globe.

The traveltainer is a modified container that can open up on one side. This has been designed in such a way that the certification for transport is guaranteed in every way possible. You can handle containers anywhere in the world. Even deep into Africa or South America.

The intention is to realize hotspots, for example on former shunting yards, into places where communities can temporarily live together. A tight control is necessary to prevent uncontrollable situations. Consideration is given to a membership that gives worldwide access to the hot spots, but that is financially a barrier to guarantee the quality and success.
