Deltaplein example in report on Living Environment Quality

11-04-2022

The new research report 'Building on Quality of Living Environment' by the Deltametropolis Association casts a glance at the full breadth of the concept of 'quality of living environment'. It also shows, on the basis of examples such as Deltaplein, that the housing challenge can be used to make our towns and cities even more liveable.

The added value of inner-city building is becoming increasingly clear. Increasing the supply of housing and locations for work and facilities strengthens existing towns and villages. Nevertheless, there are often many questions before starting inner-city building projects. Won't it be too crowded? Will there still be room for green space?

The study was conducted in collaboration with the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) and commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK). The report is available in Dutch here.
