The Netherlands are a water rich country. For a country that for nearly one third of its area was won from the sea and lies below sea level for a significant part, that's hardly surprising. With our extensive knowledge of water, The Netherlands are number 1 in terms of water management and protection agains high sea levels. Incredibly, we have yet to exploit the seemingly endless possibilities.
